Get your Solokey

I no longer maintain this book. I have moved my own workstations to NixOS, where the entire system is declared in one reproducible Git repo rather than assembled by hand. The Fedora Atomic notes here are left up for reference, but they are no longer updated. For my current setup, read the NixOS Workstation book instead.
I know of two places to buy solokeys:
What to buy:
- Recommended: Solo 2 USB-A (touch capacitive, but its long and sticks out of the USB port).
- Recommended: Solo 1 Tap USB-A (durable clicky button, but its long and sticks out of the USB port).
- Recommended: Somu (semi-permanent flush mount USB-A port, soft touch design).
- Get the “secure” version, don’t buy the “hacker” version.
- Buy at least two (and store one as a backup).
